1. Anti-Reflection Coatings (AR Coatings)

Function: Reduce surface reflection, increase light transmission, eliminate ghost images and glare.
Applications: Camera lenses, eyeglass lenses, microscope/telescope optics, display windows, smartphone camera modules.

2. High-Reflection Coatings (HR Coatings)

Function: Achieve ultra-high reflectivity for specific wavelength bands.
Applications: Laser resonator mirrors, optical beam steering mirrors, telescope reflectors, laser cavity components.

3. Filter Coatings

  • Bandpass Filter Coatings: Transmit only a narrow wavelength range; used in spectroscopy, biomedical instruments, laser communication.

  • Longpass / Shortpass Filter Coatings: Block shorter/longer wavelengths; used in machine vision, infrared detection, camera IR-cut filters.

  • Dichroic Coatings: Split or combine different color light; used in projectors, RGB lighting, optical imaging systems.

  • Notch Filter Coatings: Block a specific laser line wavelength; used in spectral analysis and laser noise suppression.

4. Beamsplitter Coatings

Function: Divide incident light into reflected and transmitted light at a fixed ratio.
Applications: Interferometers, optical measurement instruments, laser beam splitting, optical imaging systems.

5. Polarization Coatings

Function: Separate or control s-polarized and p-polarized light.
Applications: Optical isolators, polarizers, laser systems, liquid crystal display (LCD) optics.

6. Protective & Hard Coatings

Function: Protect optical substrates from scratches, moisture, oxidation and harsh environments.
Applications: Outdoor optical windows, metal mirror surface protection, industrial and aerospace optical components.

7. Conductive Optical Coatings

Function: Combine optical transparency with electrical conductivity.
Applications: Touch screens, electromagnetic shielding windows, aerospace optical glass.
